Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time using KAMI Workforce, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Calculate and process employee deductions, overtime, holiday pay, and other compensation adjustments.
- Address employee queries related to payroll, ensuring prompt resolution of concerns.
- Ensure 100% compliance with government-mandated deadlines for payroll submissions.
- Benefits Administration
- Manage employee enrollment, updates, and terminations in benefits programs such as health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefits providers, addressing employee issues and ensuring smooth operations.
- Educate employees about their benefits and assist them with claims or applications as needed.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to implement wellness initiatives and improve overall employee experience.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with government-mandated contributions such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG, including timely filing and remittance.
- Prepare and submit required government reports, such as annual income tax returns and alphalists.
- Generate payroll and benefits-related reports for internal use and audits.
- Maintain 95% accuracy in generating and submitting reports on time.
- Data Management
- Maintain accurate and updated records of employee compensation and benefits in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion and in compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Prepare necessary documentation for audits and ensure all records are organized and complete.
- Policy Implementation and Process Improvement
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement compensation and benefits policies that align with company goals and employee needs.
- Research market trends and recommend adjustments to compensation and benefits structures to remain competitive.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes related to payroll and benefits to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Employee Support and Engagement
- Provide one-on-one support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries via Slack or other communication platforms.
- Assist in organizing employee benefits orientations and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to support overall employee satisfaction and engagement initiatives.
- Proactively address employee concerns within 48 hours to maintain satisfaction.
- Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external payroll and benefits vendors to ensure service delivery meets company standards.
- Ensure vendor service level agreements are met and explore cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, or in a related HR or finance role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and government-mandated benefits in the Philippines.
- Experience with KAMI Workforce or other HRIS platforms is preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and task management tools like ClickUp, with the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly..
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and remote work environment.
- Proven ability to adapt to evolving processes and priorities in a startup or dynamic work environment.
